Jennifer o'donnell, ma lpc
Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. Over the past fifteen years, she has worked at Peachford Hospital, Behavioral Health Link, Wellstar Health system and Highland Rivers Community Service Board providing individual and group therapy. Jennifer has worked with Adolescents (age 12+), Young Adults, PTSD war Veterans, and Substance Abuse Clients.
Jennifer believes that therapy is a collaborative effort between herself and her clients. Mutually agreed upon goals will be established after the completion of a thorough evaluation which addresses the client's history and concerns. Successful therapy requires the establishment of a trusting, nurturing and respectful environment coupled with a high level of therapeutic skills on the part of the clinician. Various clinical techniques and strategies may be employed to increase insight, break unhealthy patterns and improve emotional health.
Reading assignments, homework and referrals to community resources may also be employed to more effectively reach goals.
Jennifer is a goal directed therapist who takes great satisfaction out of assisting young people, adults, and families identifying and resolving issues to achieve clarity, self-confidence, and courage to face every day issues and challenges.
Jennifer was born in Georgia and has spent her career serving the communities of North Georgia. Jennifer lives in Cobb County with her husband, 2 children and 2 dogs.
